The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has produced some of the biggest blockbuster films of all time, with A-list actors portraying beloved superheroes. However, many fans might not realize that the Avengers co-stars have formed close friendships beyond the screen. While Elizabeth Olsen might no longer be good friends with Chris Evans, other actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Mark Ruffalo, share a great camaraderie evident both on and off-screen.
It’s widely known that actors behind the biggest blockbusters often share a strong bond. Similarly, the Avengers cast members are also known to be tightly knit. Recently, Chris Evans reflected on his friendship with his co-stars from the MCU. The actor also revealed they have a chat group for discussions, which speaks volumes about their relationships.
Who Is Chris Evans’ Best Friend From The Avengers
During a recent interview with GMA to promote his new Apple TV+ film Ghosted, Chris Evans, best known for his role as Captain America in the MCU, opened up about his closest relationship among his former Marvel Studios co-stars. The actor revealed he is good friends with Scarlett Johansson, who played Natasha Romanoff in the series.
“Probably Scarlett. But all of them, we’re all on a group text chain. We text frequently. But I suppose Scarlett’s the one I’m closest with.”
The actor’s feelings aren’t one-sided, as Scarlett Johansson has expressed similar sentiments in the past, highlighting her close relationship with the Ghosted actor. During an interview with Daily Mail, Johansson said she has been close to Evans since they first worked together on a film.
“I’ve been very close with Chris for such a long time… With the first time we worked together, we did a movie called ‘The Perfect Score’ when I was 17.’

Will Chris Evans’ Captain America Return To The MCU
Fans are eagerly waiting for Evans’ possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Chris Evans has kept busy with recent projects like The Gray Man and Pixar’s Lightyear, the films met with mixed reviews and box office disappointments. As his character Steve Rogers is technically alive, many still wonder if he will reprise the role in future projects.
Despite this speculation, Evans himself has expressed hesitation about returning to the MCU. In a recent interview, the actor stated that if he were to come back, it would have to be for the right reasons and at the right time, as he feels it may be too soon currently. Only time will tell if and when we’ll see Evans back in the iconic red, white, and blue suit.
His latest film Ghosted, also starring Ana de Armas, will be released on the Apple TV+ streaming service on April 21.
