Fans React Hilariously to Avatar Sequels Being Delayed
Last year in a candid interview, Avatar franchise director James Cameron claimed that in the future, he might pass on the project to bring the saga to its conclusion to some other filmmaker whom he can trust. He told Empire Online,
“The Avatar films themselves are kind of all-consuming. I’ve got some other things I’m developing as well that are exciting. I think eventually over time – I don’t know if that’s after three or after four – I’ll want to pass the baton to a director that I trust to take over, so I can go do some other stuff that I’m also interested in. Or maybe not. I don’t know.”
Fans are now betting on Zoe Saldana’s age now that Disney Studios has announced fresh release dates for the forthcoming sequels. Read how fans are reacting to the news.
A fan wrote on Twitter,
“Taking bets on that final Avatar movie getting several more delays over the next 8 years. We’ll see it when she’s 70,” another wrote, “Dang, that’s crazy. Idk why they delayed it so long for. I want to see the sequel now, but I guess it is a reason why it was delayed. Dang, she was in her 20s when she did the first one, and she be in her 50 when the sequel comes out wow.”
