Rosario Dawson’s Bizzare Revelation About Ray Stevenson
Nearly 3 months after Ray Stevenson’s death, his Ahsoka co-star Rosario Dawson revealed some bizarre things about the actor. Dawson played Ashoka Tano while Stevenson appeared as Baylan Skoll in the Disney+ series. Revealing her moments with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor co-star, the 44-year-old told People about what kind of a man Stevenson was. Dawson said that Stevenson was more of a man who practiced spiritualism.
“He’d have these crystals that had all these different meanings from where, you know, he felt like spiritually, where he came from and what he wanted to be resonating. And we’d sit and have these conversations about the divine feminine,” Dawson told People.
Further, Dawson went on to reveal that Stevenson was an “almost, like, Nordic kind of man, you know, who was very heavy-handed,” she recalled. And then just like “the most gentle, brilliant, like loving divine feminine spirit,” she added. Dawson certainly adored the actor as he had such a positive vibe and characteristics. He was philosophical and more prudent about living a life in his own philosophical way.
Rosario Dawson Recalls Her Experience Working With Ray Stevenson
Stevenson has this enlightened approach to life and perhaps because of that, Dawson revealed, her co-star had a lot of friends. “You just had the most extraordinary conversations with him about his family and philosophies,” the Men in Black II star revealed. “I’ve had so many people who I know are friends with him. We were so blessed to have him working with us. He made all of us better,” she added. Talking about her on-screen relationship with the actor’s character, she revealed the filming of the highlighting lightsaber duels between Ashoka and Baylon.
“I was like fighting for my life [while filming fight sequences with Stevenson]. I was talking about that with Dave [Filoni]. I was like, am I gonna be able to talk about how heavy-handed he was? Cause he was just like, woo. I was like I’m really having to protect myself here. We’re putting in the work.”
Dawson’s memory from the set of the Star Wars series is engraved and she would cherish it forever. “It really brings a lot of smiles to people’s faces and, you know, it brings out really deep conversations,” she said of the making of the show. “‘May the force be with you,’ people get real serious about it and it’s nerdy, which I love. I’m in absolute delight these days and hoping that people love it so I can do more of it,” she added.
Ahsoka is currently streaming on Disney+.
