American actor Mark Margolis died at the age of 83. On August 3, 2023, Margolis breathed his last at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City following a brief illness. The news about his demise was announced by his son, Morgan Margolis, which left his fans shocked. Later, Margolis’ manager also confirmed the news and stated,
“Over the years, Mark has not only dazzled audiences with his exceptional performances he was also an incredibly kind man was a great sense of humor who loved his family. His dedication to his craft is evident in the numerous memorable roles he brought to life, captivating audiences with his remarkable range and skill.
Beyond Mark’s on-screen achievements, his genuine and approachable demeanor has made him a pleasure to work with. As both an actor and a person, Mark’s enduring excellence and amiable nature have left an indelible impression on those fortunate enough to collaborate with him and know him. He will certainly be missed.”

Mark Margolis's Journey in Hollywood
With his impeccable acting skills, Mark Margolis left a lifelong impact on the fans. The actor was popularly known for portraying the role of Hector Salamanca in the hit series Breaking Bad. Though he barely spoke a word in the series, his glares and growls were enough to earn him a nomination for the Emmy Awards for his role.
In 2012, the actor was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Salamanca. During an interview, the actor said,
"And because I couldn’t speak for the first time in my long career, it forced me to listen to what the other actors were saying. Most actors tend not to listen to what anyone else is saying because they’re so focused on their own performance."
But this wasn't the point from which his journey started. The actor contributed 44 years of his life to the film industry. He began his career as a supporting actor in the 1979 film Going to Style. However, his breakthrough role was in 1983’s Scarface, where he played the role of mobster Alberto.
The actor last appeared in the 2020 drama series Your Honor.
