Tom Cruise’s Newly Released Mission: Impossible 7 Is Receiving Positive Response
Tom Cruise has achieved tremendous success in his flourishing career. The legendary star has steadily established himself as one of the leading action superstars in showbiz and has earned top billings with his incredible work across commercially successful films. The dedicated star has starred in many big record-smashing pulse-pounding movies that have helped him receive praise from critics and audiences.
Cruise has a massive fan base worldwide that undoubtedly loves his work. No one can match his unique acting approach and the skills he showcases in each of his projects. The Golden Globe-winning star has worked in many long-running, critically acclaimed franchises, including the Mission: Impossible film series.
The actor has been giving non-stop memorable performances since making his character debut as Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent starting with the original 1996 film. The latest seventh installment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One of the beloved franchise, recently hit theaters, with fans can’t stop praising its star-studded cast and Cruise’s mind-blowing stunts.
However, the movie has suffered a significant drop in box office numbers following the release of Christopher Nolan-directed Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie. Both the projects have outperformed and are believed to overshadowed his latest film.
The titular film carries an estimated budget of $291 million, making it one of the most expensive projects in the franchise. Therefore the makers are still hopeful that the film will leave an indelible mark on the silver screen and can expect to earn decent numbers at the box office.
Tom Cruise Starrer Upcoming Mission: Impossible 8 Has a Thrilling Underwater Scene
In a recent candid interview, the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One director Christopher McQuarrie revealed that the upcoming eighth installment of the highly acclaimed franchise will feature some of the most dangerous and unimaginable stunts and sequences. In the now-released movie, fans saw Tom Cruise performing a submarine scene underwater. McQuarrie claimed that the forthcoming sequel will feature even more intriguing parts. He told Collider,
“Tom and I are constantly reevaluating our own work and asking ourselves how we could have done it better. We’ve done underwater sequences previously. We’ve worked underwater in Edge of Tomorrow, and we worked underwater in Rogue Nation, and we left very dissatisfied with those sequences.”
The director continued,
“And we analyze why we were dissatisfied. What were all the factors working against us? The biggest being not having real knowledge in that area. Everything you’re looking at in Dead Reckoning is the application of knowledge from previous sequences.”
Alongside Tom Cruise, Mission: Impossible 7 has a star-studded ensemble cast that features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, and Henry Czerny.
