She stars as Yennefer of Vengerberg, and after featuring in three seasons of the show, Chalotra is set to reprise her role in Season 4 alongside Liam Hemsworth. The British actress has shared that she was sad to see one of her co-stars leave the show after working together for five years.
Although Cavill would not return to the series, his co-stars would always remember the moments they spent with him. The Wanderlust actress recalled some of her most memorable moments from the set of The Witcher season 3 during a recent interview.
Anya Chalotra’s Most Memorable Moments From The Witcher Season 3
Anya Chalotra and Henry Cavill have been portraying two of the most important characters in The Witcher since the first season of the show. And Chalotra has also shared how much she admired her co-star for his in-depth understanding of the series’ source material.
During a recent interview, she was asked about the “most emblematic” scene that could describe her experience working with Cavill in his last season. The actress recalled one of the scenes they filmed in the forest, saying that she was excited to film it as she loved the sequence in the books.
The scene required them to fight as Jaskier and Ciri mimicked them from a distance. She shared that they tried to improvise an argument. However, it did not work, and they ended up laughing every time. “We had to improvise an argument, and we didn’t get anything out. We just laughed the whole time,” she shared.
“I don’t know how they managed to put that together in the edit because it was coming to the end of the night, or rather the morning,” she recalled. The Witcher actress further stated despite trying everything, they “just couldn’t stop laughing.” The scene is featured in Episode 4 of The Witcher Season 3.
Anya Chalotra on the Future of The Witcher Without Henry Cavill
During an interview with Variety, Anya Chalotra talked about Henry Cavill’s exit from the Netflix series and reflected on its future without its leading star. She shared that it would feel strange working on another season without the show’s leading man.
“It’s going to be bizarre, and I feel like I’m definitely going to feel that loss. I think we all will,” she said However, she still has hope for the next season of The Witcher despite Cavill’s departure from the series. Talking about Liam Hemsworth taking over as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, she said, “I’m excited for new energy to come in.” Chalotra also said that she has better hopes for the show’s future as there are too many stories left to tell.
