But after many years, the actor is finally back to mainstream success after his breathtaking performance in The Whale and has become a frontrunner for the Oscars. During a recent screening of The Mummy in the Prince Charles cinema in London, Fraser surprised the fans with his visit.

Brendan Fraser didn’t know if The Mummy was a comedy, horror, or action

At a recent double screening of The Mummy and its sequel at the Prince Charles Cinema in London, Brendan Fraser surprised the audience with his visit to the event. The actor stated that he wasn’t going to miss such an opportunity.

The actor received a big standing ovation from the audience after his entry. As he went on to speak about The Mummy, the actor jokingly revealed that at the beginning, the crew wasn’t sure whether the movie was a comedy, action, adventure, or horror until it was tested in front of the British audiences, and that he is thankful to the fans for their love and support.

We had no idea until it was tested in front of British audiences. Thank you for that”

Even though the crew initially didn’t have any idea about The Mummy, the actor was later overwhelmed by the tremendous success of the movie. And two decades after the first film, the actor has teased the audience that he might return for another Mummy movie.

Brendan Fraser is open to the idea of another Mummy movie

Even though Brendan Fraser left the franchise after the underwhelming response to 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and wasn’t invited for the 2017 reboot The Mummy, which starred Tom Cruise at the center. But The actor hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of his return to the franchise.

In an interview with Variety, the actor revealed that he is down for another Mummy movie if someone comes up with the right idea. The actor explained that the movie is hard to make, and while reflecting on the 2017 reboot that was bashed by the critics, The Whale actor said that the Mummy movies shouldn’t be just terrifying but include fun as well. And if all the ingredients are present, the actor might return for another Mummy movie in the future.
