But fans were concerned that the reason for the separation could be something else, based on the Glass actor’s statement. During a 1996 interview, Willis made some controversial comments while talking about “a man’s impulse.” During an interview with Playboy in 1996, he said, “No woman is going to satisfy a man’s natural impulse to procreate, procreate, procreate.” He added,
“The impulse doesn’t go away because you have three or 10 or a hundred kids … We try hard, but we’re animals. We’re just donkeys walking up to the trough for food and wanting to f*ck everything we see because of this unconscious agenda.”
The comment raised eyebrows and people were concerned when the star couple announced their separation two years after Willis made the comment. The Flawless actress later explained his comment as her ex-husband’s “excitement and novelty” as he wanted to do whatever he wishes for.
Demi Moore is Proud of The Couple’s Divorce

And Moore has also shared that she is proud of their decision to divorce.
“It’s a funny thing to say, but I’m very proud of our divorce,” she said. She shared that her ex-husband feared that she would cause trouble in their divorce, but Moore was proud of how well they handled the whole situation.
Their divorce is also considered an amicable divorce among Hollywood couples, as they stayed on good terms and raised their children together. The Songbird actress is also very close to her ex-husband’s wife, Emma Heming Wills.
