"We are getting married": Emma Watson Gave Up and Said She Was in Love With Rupert Grint After Relentless Questions About Their Relationship

No matter what anyone says, Emma Watson was born to play Hermione Granger. The actress understood all the layers of our favorite fictional nerd and brought it to life on the screen with absolute perfection. Ever since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Emma Watson has been known as Hermione around the world, despite having done many more roles.

Emma Watson’s chemistry with both Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe was off the charts. Since the golden trio worked together for a little over a decade, there were obviously murmurs about their off-screen relationship. While they have talked about their friendship with high regard, fans wondered with Emma Watson ever dated any of the two. The questions finally defeated the actress’ patience and she used sarcasm as a tool to put an end to it all, once and for all.

Despite the fact that Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley were in a relationship in the Harry Potter films, Emma Watson has never been in a real-life relationship with anyone from the cast. Of course, she has been shipped with everyone from Daniel Radcliffe to Rupert Grint to Tom Felton, but none of the ships ever became a reality. In fact, she even had a crush on Felton, but nothing happened between the two.

In an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, she stated,

“The whole 10-year period, I never so much as pecked either one of them on the cheek. It was pure friendship.”

Watson had to go through this exact question countless times and she was over it. Thus, when she was asked the same thing on The Regis and Kelly Show (now known as Live with Kelly and Mark), the actress gave a sarcastic response stating that she’s getting married to Grint and will soon have children with her co-star.

“Regis, you have honestly asked this question every year since I was 11 years old. Every year…Without fail. Okay, fine. We’re getting married… [Rupert and I] are getting married, and we’re going to have little ginger kids. We’re going to live in a beautiful house, and we’re very in love.”

One can imagine just how frustrated she must have been answering the same question over and over again!

In a 2010 interview with Collider, Radcliffe stated that even though he, Grint, and Watson do not hang out with each other all the time and have other friends, the bond they share can never be replicated.

“We have gotten on very, very well. We’ve got other friends as well, I think it’s important to say. We don’t just hang around with each other all the time. But yeah, no we get on very, very well and we also have the knowledge that no matter what happens in the rest of our lives, no one will have had this particular experience other than the 3 of us. And I think that is something that will never, never leave us.”

Watson couldn’t agree more with her co-star as she told Interview magazine, “We will always be very important to each other.” However, she did add that after filming Harry Potter for so long, all three of them were ready to do other things in their lives.
