Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde’s romance has been a hot buzz since the couple were seen together in early 2021 in photographs of them holding hands. Those photographs have sparked gossip on the internet.
However, the romance between the celebrities was short-lived as the couple was reportedly taking a break in November 2022 after two years of dating. As per the reports, the couple went on to focus on different priorities.

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde eventually parted ways. As per sources, Wilde was “pretty hurt” over the split and still “clearly yearns for what they used to have.” However, the former One Direction star has moved on as he has “no interest in turning back the clock” with the Don’t Worry Darling director.
Certainly, as the sources claim, the singer/actor “feels bad” to hurt Wilde as the split has “bruised” the Tron: Legacy actor.
People broke the news of the couple “taking a break” in November 2022 while the singer was “still touring and is now going abroad” and the filmmaker was “focusing on her kids and her work in L.A.” As per sources, the public pressure on the couple has been difficult, “They’ve had ups and downs throughout the relationship.”
Styles, as per sources, was “frustrated” as Wilde became “way too intense” by the end of their relationship as she would keep on reminding the singer of living together and marriage. The Dunkirk actor “felt crowded” in the relationship and after the split, he felt as if he “dodged a bullet.” The sources further claimed that the singer “likes his freedom.”
“The break has been difficult for Olivia. They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all. She is disappointed. It’s just a tricky situation, though,” the source told People.
Later when Styles was dating Emily Ratajkowski, Wilde was “trying not to be jealous because she is moving on as well,” sources said but it did upset her after seeing the viral photos and videos of the new couple. However, she’s now focused on her kids and work and wishes to stay out of it.
It All Started With Don’t Worry Darling
Styles starred in Don’t Worry, Darling, replacing Shia LaBeouf in Wilde’s 2022 movie. “To me, he’s very modern,” Wilde told People after casting Styles in the film. “And I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has—truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity—is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world,” she added.
In November 2020, the news of Wilde splitting with fiancé Jason Sudeikis broke. The former couple shares two children, a 6-year-old son Otis Alexander, and a 4-year-old daughter Daisy Josephine.
But it all started with Don’t Worry Darling. Wilde and Styles holding hands photographs in 2021 spread like wildfire. “They were in Montecito, California this weekend for a wedding,” a source told People. “They were affectionate around their friends, held hands, and looked very happy. They have dated for a few weeks,” the source added.
The former couple attempted to keep their relationship under wraps for a while which started on the set of Wilde’s film but a small group of people eventually figured it out. However, after the news of their dating broke the couple was seen together at a few events and on social media, mostly Wilde posting things about Styles. The couple is also seen making out on a boat in Italy.
But Styles was more keen on keeping the relationship private. “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” he told Rolling Stone once.
“Sometimes people say, ‘You’ve only publicly been with women,’ and I don’t think I’ve publicly been with anyone. If someone takes a picture of you with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re choosing to have a public relationship or something,” he added.
However, whatever the relationship cherished has ended now. The couple has moved on and it’s very unlikely for the couple to get back together.
