According to Variety, Warner Bros. plans to restructure its DC films operation following Justice League’s box office failure.
Jon Berg will no longer be running DC’s film division. Instead, Berg will become a production partner with Roy Lee (The LEGO Movie and It), who has an agreement with WB. Warner is currently searching for Berg’s replacement.
“This is something that Jon approached me about six months ago, and he expressed his goal was to ultimately be a producer at the studio,” Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Toby Emmerich told Variety. “I first met Jon when, as a producer, he brought ‘Elf’ to New Line, which remains one of the best and most evergreen titles in the library. We’re thrilled that Jon is partnering with Roy and anticipate their company being a valuable source of movies for Warner Bros. and New Line.”

Geoff Johns, who works in television, films, publishing, and consumer products, is expected to continue serving as DC Entertainment’s chief creative officer. Johns may take a more advisory position for the film division.
WB is contemplating integrating DC’s film operations into the studio’s main production arm. DC would no longer have a separate building on the lot.
The overhaul at Warner Bros.’ DC is expected to happen by January. Berg and Johns will most-likely not have full producer credits on future movies.
