MCU star Mickey Rourke defended Johnny Depp as he called out Amber Heard
Academy Award-nominated and Iron Man 2 star Mickey Rourke reflected on the public trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp and expressed his perspective on the situation. Considering that back in the 90s, The Wrestler star suffered a similar situation, when he was falsely accused of spousal abuse, leading to him losing many projects, he claimed he could relate to Depp’s situation. Rourke further went forward to imply that the actress was a gold digger, as he explained,
“I know Johnny for many years but I don’t know him intimately. All I could say, I was in a situation one time where I was blamed for something I didn’t do. It cost me movie jobs for several years and a bad reputation but finally the truth came out after I lost movies and jobs. I felt like I died for somebody trying to get chopped down by some gold digger, you know?”
Although the backlash that Heard received following the results of the trial led her to take a break from the industry with many believing that she is done with Hollywood, this might not be the case.
