Tim Allen rose to fame as a voice actor in the critically and commercially successful venture, Toy Story in which he voiced the role of Buzz Lightyear over the course of 22 films, television series, specials, video games, toon projects, and two Academy Awards appearances (in 1996 and 2000). However, the quick rise in Hollywood, mass adoration, and fame in the public eye eventually petered out with time as the once-beloved actor faced backlash for politically controversial comments over the years, including his 2022 comment about Joe Biden appearing on 60 Minutes.
Now, the list of controversies plaguing the Hollywood actor grows longer than ever, and the latest addition to it arrives via Baywatch veteran, Pamela Anderson.
Pamela Anderson Accuses Tim Allen of Flashing Her
In her soon-to-be-released memoir titled Love, Pamela, the former model, and actress has spoken out against veteran actor Tim Allen in a scathing allegation. Pamela Anderson in her book recounted the first day of filming on the sets of Home Improvement, one of the shows that catapulted both stars to household fame. At the time (1991), Anderson was 23 while Allen was 37.
“On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”

Tim Allen refuted the comments in a statement claiming, “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.” The allegations are one of many revelations that Anderson makes in her memoir, reveals Variety. The book also happens to be her first in-depth narrative into her life and rise as a star ever since Pamela Anderson exploded into the sets of Baywatch and as a cover model for Playboy in the 90s.
A Recap of the Controversies Surrounding Tim Allen
Long before Tim Allen rose to the upper strata of la la land and received acclaim and acknowledgment as one of its best and brightest, the actor had experienced some jail time in lieu of drug trafficking charges. In October 1978, Allen was arrested for carrying 1.43 lb of cocaine in his luggage through the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Michigan. He pleaded guilty after being charged, spending a reduced sentence of 2 years and 4 months, and was released in June 1981.
The years ever since were a calamitous journey of rise and fall and outspoken criticisms levied both by him and toward him. The actor’s experience with alcoholism since age 10, his DUI arrest in 1998, his comments about being a “fiscal conservative”, rallying against “the face of the woke… wokees,” and calling out people for enabling the ‘we culture’ has relegated him to the more unpopular realm of celebrities with a platform.
His ill relations with the public and the mass sensitivity reached a peak in 2013 when Allen claimed, “If I have no intent, if I show no intent, if I clearly am not a racist, then how can ‘ni**er’ be bad coming out of my mouth? [The phrase] ‘the n-word’ is worse to me than ni**er.” Understandably, the debate of modern culture and society has taken a disliking to the voice that had once represented hope, optimism, and heroism for so many throughout the decades since 1995.
