Tom Holland has been opening up about his experience in the Hollywood industry and how he has been dealing with the pressure he faces. He spoke up about his alcohol struggle and how he overcame it. There was a lot he did to be his happiest self currently and directors as well as his co-stars only have praise for the actor.
In his struggles, he has still remained to be a great actor. At one point he convinced himself that his movie, Uncharted was responsible for saving Hollywood after the pandemic. However, the credit was given to Tom Cruise almost all the time. With time, Holland has progressed in his career but he understands that limitations only increase the more he works.
Tom Holland Is Regularly Doing Yoga
Tom Holland has always been seen doing some impressive stunts. As a talented actor and a dancer, he has reached many might miss out on. Especially when it comes to the way he uses his body to act. Despite a silent competition with Tom Cruise, an obstacle can easily pop up that puts him much behind the actor.
“Over the years, I’ve been getting less and less flexible, which has become a bit of a challenge. Sometimes, landing in the Spidey poses, I’ve been pulling a hamstring here and there, so I’ve taken up yoga.”
Despite being so dependent on the movement and flexibility of his body, he already started facing difficulty with his stunts. So much so that whenever he would land on Spider-Man’s iconic pose, he would often find a muscle being pulled or a hamstring being stretched out. To counter this problem, he started doing yoga on a regular basis. Yoga will help him gain his flexibility back and he would then be able to do all his stunts back to the way he used to. The more he did his stunts and practiced to increase his flexibility, the better it would get for him while doing various movies.
Tom Holland Has A Dancer’s Perspective
Tom Holland has often been praised by directors because of the way he sees scripts and the characters that he plays. His past as a dancer, specifically that of ballet has shaped him to see the set as a stage and a scene as a performance.
“Obviously, when you’re doing ballet, it’s the complete opposite. But by being able to do the complete opposite, you can mold yourself into these different people in an easier, more fluid way.”
He can fit himself into any role because of the way his character would walk and move. The way he would talk would be much different from the characters he is asked to play, helping him transition into them smoothly.
