Tom Holland Reportedly Won’t Share Screen With Charlie Cox in Daredevil: Born Again as Spider-Man Despite Massive Fan Demand

Tom Holland has won over Marvel fans with his portrayal of the web-slinging superhero in the MCU. After making his MCU debut with the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War, Holland went on to join Avengers on their mission to save the world and also landed three solo films. And MCU’s Spider-Man is reportedly set to come back in the fourth installment of the film. The Spider-Man: Homecoming star has reportedly signed a new deal with the studio.

Under his new deal, Holland was also expected to join Daredevil in the upcoming Disney+ series. However, a new rumor has suggested that the Uncharted star will not be joining the crime-fighting hero in the upcoming Disney+ series.

Tom Holland Would Not Have a Cameo in Daredevil: Born Again

Charlie Cox made his first appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Peter Parker’s lawyer. Seeing the vigilante making his first appearance in the MCU alongside Spider-Man, fans expected to see the duo back together in future projects as well.

Many insiders also revealed that Tom Holland could join Daredevil in his upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, under his new deal. However, a new rumor has suggested otherwise. According to the new rumor, the Infinity War star will not be sharing the screen with Daredevil in Born Again.

However, he would only be appearing in three Spider-Man films and the upcoming Avengers films.  Although none of the studios have said anything about a cameo or an appearance in the Disney+ show, fans do not seem too pleased with the new rumor.

It is also speculated that Sony and Disney do not want to get caught up in the small cameo deals. However, fans are still hopeful to see the web-slinging superhero alongside the other MCU superheroes.

Spider-Man 4 to Start Production in 2023

Previous reports have suggested that the studio is planning to release the next Spider-Man film in 2024 under phase 5 of the MCU. And latest reports have claimed that the studio is planning to start production this year, with a reported budget of $200 Million.

Reports claim that the studio is secretly working on Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man 4 and is planning to release it under phase 5 of the MCU. Some reports also claim that the fourth installment in the Spider-Man film series could also release in 2025. However, the release date of the film is not confirmed yet.

Its initial release date is reported to be July 2024, as Spider-Man 4 is expected to release before the upcoming Avengers films, The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. One thing fans are sure about is that Tom Holland will once again appear as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man in the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere in the Spring of 2024 on Disney+.
