Tom Holland, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man of the MCU became the first Spider-Man to team up with the Avengers, as No Way Home established that the other two Spider-Men did not have our favorite Hero team up in their universes. But he did become the first, and for a young actor to share the screen with veterans can be overwhelming and you want to do your best.
Talking about little tidbits that went down on the sets of Avengers: Endgame, Tom Holland had a very vivid memory of being embarrassed in front of childhood heroes Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
When Tom Holland Embarrassed Himself In Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Tom Holland has memories of his teenage years of watching Iron Man in 2008, and how Robert Downey Jr. became a childhood hero and a personal favorite for the young actor. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanding beyond horizons, more and more actors joined the universe and became favorites of the people including Tom Holland.

Alongside Robert Downey Jr. another personal favorite of the Uncharted actor is Chris Evans. Tom Holland has had an embarrassing experience on the sets of the magnum opus movie Avengers: Endgame. Talking about the particular event that made Holland do a “walk of shame,” the actor ruined a perfect iconic take of Avengers: Endgame when the team of superheroes assemble at the finale of it all.
According to a YouTube video, when Evans yelled “Avengers…assemble”, all the actors were supposed to yell at the camera and run toward the enemy. The problem, however, was that Tom Holland wasn’t able to hear Chris Evans all that properly well. In an interview, the actor recalled a humiliating walk of shame that he had to do when he couldn’t hear Evans.
“So he went ‘Avengers’ and then I just went ‘aaaahhhhh’ and ran off by myself. I’m like ‘sorry guys, I got that wrong ‘”
The actor had run around 30 feet before realizing his mistake and had to walk back the way he came all the while his childhood heroes like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. sniggered at him.
When Tom Holland Had To Ghost Robert Downey Jr.
Although the duo shared a deep bond (which they still do), there was a time when it was getting a bit intense. Having saved his number as “The Godfather”, Tom Holland revealed the time he ghosted his mentor because RDJ called him at 2 in the morning.
“I think we were in London, and he FaceTimed me at 2:00 in the morning, and I didn’t even check who it was. I was like ‘Who is that?’ and I hung up. And I woke up in the morning, and in my phone he’s saved as ‘The Godfather’. So I woke up and I panicked. I was like ‘Oh my god I am so sorry I didn’t mean to ghost you’. He obviously didn’t reply for ages because of the time difference in LA,”
After his appearance as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, there are currently no MCU projects in development that confirm the return of Tom Holland in the iconic role.
