Tom Hanks’ voice was a remedy for Florence Pugh’s sleepless nights
It’s no secret that Tom Hanks’ deep yet gentle voice is indeed one of the most recognizable ones. But as it turns out, it was also a savior for Florence Pugh during her hard times. Previously, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the actress revealed that as a kid, she used to be very unwell, and getting good sleep was a great struggle for her. But thanks to Hanks’ voice, she was able to get a sound sleep. The actress recalled,
“I was sick a lot as a kid, I was always in the hospital and they were always trying to find a good position for me to sleep in. And apparently I would always wake up when Toy Story was over and the ending credits would play.”
The actress further continued by stating that it was her mother who figured out that Hanks’ voice acts as a comforting lullaby for her daughter. The actress said,
“So [my mom would] quickly get up from her bed and rewind it and press play again. So I’ve been very soothed to sleep [by Tom Hanks].”
