And reports suggest that he has earned more than the other Spider-Man stars, allegedly making over $30 million from Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man trilogy. The 2002 film series grossed over $2 billion worldwide and according to Yahoo Finance, the lead star of the franchise was paid $4 million for his debut as the web-swinging superhero.
Raimi’s Spider-Man films were doing great at the box office, leading to a massive pay increase for its lead star. His earning for the 2004 Spider-Man sequel raised over $10 million more than that of the first film. The Babylon actor reportedly made $17.5 million from the sequel with 5% of the back-end gross.
His payment for the third film in the series was also as impressive as the last two films, as he received a $15 million paycheck, along with a 7.5% on the back end. For his surprise appearance in the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home, he was reportedly paid $1 million. His venture as Spider-Man has also contributed to his net worth, estimated to be around $75 million to 76 million.
How Much Did Tom Holland Make as Spider-Man?
Tom Holland made his MCU debut with the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War and has since played the superhero in the MCU numerous times. He has also featured in three solo flicks, one of which also became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, earning over $1 billion at the box office.
For his MCU debut, Holland reportedly earned $250,000. The payment was raised to $500,000 for his first solo run in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which was released in 2017. He received $4 million for reprising his role in the 2019 film Far From Home.
While the payment for No Way Home is not confirmed, the actor reportedly made $10 million for the threequel in the franchise. There are also rumors about the Cherry star working on a fourth film under the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Andrew Garfield’s Earning As Spider-Man
The Amazin Spider-Man film series is considered a less-beloved and less-profitable Spider-Man film among all, as both the films grossed under $800M at the box office. Andrew Garfield, who succeeded Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, made $500,000 for his debut as the web-swinging superhero in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man.
His payment was doubled for the sequel to the 2012 film, and he earned $1 million for reprising his role, excluding bonuses. Garfield was reportedly set to receive a $2 million paycheck for his third film in the series before it was eventually canceled by the studio.
