John Wick has created a franchise around itself which is reshaping the action movie genre with each film that comes out. While the first film focused on Keanu Reeves’s character John Wick, who was grieving his dead wife, the series evolved into something much bigger, giving its audience a look into an incredibly complex and intriguing fictional criminal world.
With the success of this franchise, it is only natural that many spin-off projects are already in the works, with the film Ballerina expected to be released sometime in 2024, and now, the mini prequel series called The Continental, whose trailer has just been dropped.
Peacock Just Dropped The Official Trailer The Continental
The official trailer for The Continental just dropped and there is much to discuss for the fans. The prequel’s story is to follow the younger versions of characters we have seen before in the John Wick franchise, including the beloved Winston Scott and Charon, played by Colin Woodell and Ayomide Adegun respectively. The miniseries will follow young Scott as he goes directly against the ruthless kingpin, Cormac, played by Mel Gibson. The trailer shows that there is much more to the story that fans of the franchise are not used to.
The trailer also showed Katie McGrath, best known for her work in Merlin and Supergirl, who features in the role of Adjudicator, who is an agent of The High Table and a representative of The Elder. While her character only appeared in the trailer for a couple of frames, she seems to have grabbed all the attention, with fans losing their minds over her new look.
Fans Go Crazy Over Katie McGrath In The Continental Trailer
Katie McGrath’s appearance as the Adjudicator in the official trailer of The Continental, has fan completely losing their minds. Many talked about how her few-second appearance was the highlight of the trailer for them, with many going feral over her look, with her wearing a mask from below her nose.
Some are freaking out about how if this is what they put in the trailer, how much of her are they going see, and perhaps fawn over in the actual series. Despite only appearing for a few seconds, McGrath has completely stolen the attention of all fans from the actual series onto herself and they would not want it any other way.
