Blunt has done dozens of genre-busting films, and her role as the titular character’s wife in Nolan’s movie will prove to be a treat for fans because the film has shot in full frame IMAX, which will undoubtedly give the audience an entirely new level of experience.
This week, Christopher Nolan announces a limited run of his upcoming directorial, Oppenheimer, in 15 perf / 70mm format. He also added that the movie would only play in the mentioned format in only 30 theaters worldwide. Nolan also explained his idea of filming in IMAX:
“IMAX film brings images to life. From resolution and color to sharpness and overall quality, there is nothing compared to using IMAX film cameras. The IMAX film format is the Gold Standard of motion picture photography.”
The Devil Wears Prada star recently gushes about filming the titular movie with Cillian Murphy and their other co-stars in IMAX. In a video released by IMAX, Emily Blunt said,
“You know it’s a massive mythic story; this is an unforgettable, unmissable experience in a theatre.”
According to the IMAX website data,
“Oppenheimer will be proudly presented at select IMAX 70mm film locations delivering a distinctive and unique way to experience the film, the way director Christopher Nolan intended. In IMAX theatres featuring 15 perf / 70mm film, these scenes will expand images up to a 1.43:1 aspect ratio.”

In a candid interview with The New York Times, actress Emily Blunt gush about Cillian Murphy’s acting skills. Murphy is playing the titular character J. Robert Oppenheimer in the upcoming biographical thriller Oppenheimer. Speaking with the outlet, Blunt went on to praise her co-star’s incredible acting skills, she said,
“[Murphy] leads with truth he isn’t an actor who chews the scenery. There aren’t many people who can seemingly do nothing and be magnetic like him.”
She continued,
“And it’s not just about those laser beams on his face! He has thought about every detail. This movie explores not only; the trauma of living with a brain like Oppenheimer’s, but what you do with it and what lengths you are willing to go to. Cillian is brilliant at playing that ambiguity of intention.”
