Ghosted, Apple TV+’s new thriller film, marked the third outing between Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. The film follows the story of Cole (played by Evans), who falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (played by de Armas), but later finds out that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
While the trailer was enough to cause a stir among fans, the film failed to impress the audience. The film received a lot of flak for lacking a gripping story and chemistry between the actors. While the film had a few good laughs and high-octane action, it failed to make a mark in the spy comedy genre. Now, Sydney Sweeney and Glenn Powell might have put the final nail in the coffin.
Who Stole Chris Evans And Ana de Armas’ Thunder
Recently, a fan page of Sydney Sweeney posted a video of the actress with her co-actor Glenn Powell. The video soon caught everyone’s attention, sparking different opinions from fans. Some even compared their chemistry to Chris Evans and Ana de Armas’ chemistry in Ghosted.
Recently, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell appeared at CinemaCon in Las Vegas to promote their upcoming romantic comedy, Anyone But You. The film was announced in January 2023, with production in Australia. An official release date for the film has yet to be set, but production wrapped in April.
The film is said to be a contemporary take on Shakespeare’s classic play, Much Ado About Nothing. It follows the story of two former college rivals who reunite at a destination wedding years after graduation. Despite their initial animosity, they concoct a plan to pose as a couple for their motives. However, as they pretend to be in love, they slowly begin to develop genuine romantic feelings for each other.

Chris Evans And Ana de Armas Failed To Create Magic
Ghosted was the third collaboration between the actors. While their latest outing failed to impress the audience, it wasn’t the case with their previous projects. Chris Evans and Ana de Armas previously worked together on the 2019 murder-mystery film Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson, and received critical acclaim.
The film was praised for its sharp writing, inventive plot twists, and strong ensemble cast, which included Evans, de Armas, Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more. Evans played a charismatic and arrogant member of a wealthy family, while de Armas portrayed a compassionate and resourceful nurse caught up in the family’s web of deceit.
Knives Out was a box office success, grossing over $300 million worldwide, and was nominated for numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
Ghosted is available for streaming on Apple TV+.
