In a not-so-recent video (which he posted in June), the Black Adam star can be seen performing Bulgarian split squats and is obviously having difficulty toward the end of his set.
People were drawn to this post because of Johnson’s dedication to fitness even after prior knee surgeries and a torn quad. Also, he received compliments from a fellow actor.

Dwayne Johnson demonstrated his ability to overcome physical obstacles despite needing four knee surgeries and tearing his quadricep during a prior wrestling match. The retired professional wrestler said that due to prior injuries, he had not performed Bulgarian split squats in years.
As a result, the star found these deep single-leg movements to be very difficult and uncomfortable, with a lot of burning.
For the unversed, Bulgarian split squats, which primarily work the quads and glutes, in which the back foot is elevated onto a bench. Johnson has chosen to lift the front foot as well on this particular occasion, probably to give himself more range of motion.

“Still finding my groove and balance on these Bulgarian split squats. I started implementing these as my last exercise of four giant sets, meaning a colossal four leg exercises in a row, four times.”
Johnson went on to say
“Haven’t done these in years due to my four knee surgeries and I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis (in a wrestling match), so deep single-leg movements like this can be a burning bi**h.”

If you are familiar with Bulgarian split squats, you might notice Johnson unusually finished the exercise. The Rock used a very limited range of motion while performing the exercise. The technique can, however, vary from person to person, particularly if they have limitations due to prior injuries.
Jason Momoa Commended Dwayne Johnson’s Exercise Regimen

Momoa, who is renowned for having a striking physique of his own, expressed his support for the Fast & Furious actor’s exercise regimen. In the remarks, he praised Johnson’s dedication to exercises that are good for the knees and wrote:
“My favourite good for the knees uso.”
Joey Swoll, a well-known name in the fitness world, also added some supportive remarks. He emphasized the value of never skipping leg day, praised Johnson’s progress, and praised his “awesome” wheels, alluding to his leg muscles:
