Mimicking celebrities has become a major trend among youngsters. The recently released Margot Robbie starrer Barbie, which earned a billion dollars worldwide also seems to have had an effect on people due to the near-perfect actress starring in it.
Taking a look at Margot Robbie’s neck in the movie which is somewhat slim, people have been rushing to hospitals to get a “Trap Tox” done on them. Several staffers and high-profile doctors have warned against this obsession as this major trend might just ruin people and their views of an average body.
Fans Are Obsessed With Getting A Neck Like Margot Robbie
As much as Greta Gerwig tried to incorporate the message of feminism and how to be comfortable in your own body, some people have seem to gotten the wrong message. With how slim Margot Robbie’s neck looks like in Barbie, fans are obsessed with it and want to have a neck like hers too.
Well, in medical terms, this procedure is known as “Trap Tox” and they essentially inject a person with drugs such as Botox to treat migraines and shoulder pains. This procedure also has the effect of getting a slimmer neck which seems to be a trend among youngsters these days after seeing Barbie. The CEO of Revance Theurapatics, Dustin Sjuts talked about the trend in an interview with Reuters.
“[It] supposedly slims the neck and somehow that got attributed to the actress that’s playing Barbie,”
Adding to the discussion, Scot Glasberg, the president-elect of the Plastic Surgery Foundation added his view on the matter and how the trend immediately changed from wrinkles to slimmer necks!
“They’re not treating wrinkles or lax skin. They want less girth to their neck, a slimmer, more contoured neck,”
In other news, being such a sensational actress, Margot Robbie has received plenty of applause for her role in Barbie. Director Greta Gerwig talked about her favorite scene during the movie and how it wasn’t that important of a dialogue too!

With Barbie earning a whopping $1.345 billion at the global box office, fans were amazed by the amount of sarcasm, feministic speeches, and the brutal reality of the real world included in the movie. In an interview, director Greta Gerwig revealed her favorite scene out of the entire movie and Margot Robbie truly showcased the essence of who the real Barbie is.
“But it’s funny, ‘Yay, space,’ to me that is the essence of Barbie. Like, when she did that, I remember when we shot that and she got the, like, ‘Yayyyy space,’ it was so funny, and it’s so – you couldn’t exactly explain to someone where the joke is, it just is delightful.”
With more such feministic movies on the way and Margot Robbie looking as splendid as ever, Barbie is currently screening in select theaters across the world as the 2023 movie gears up for an OTT platform.
