While she is one of the most renowned professional dancers in Hollywood now, Jennifer Lopez wasn’t always the same. There was a time in her life when the millionaire babe was ready to consider even stripping as an occupation because she was tired of being broke and feeding on pizzas every day.

Recalling the time when she almost became a stripper to make thousands of dollars in a club in the past, Lopez said,

“There was a moment in my life when my friends, who were also dancers, told me about making thousands of dollars at clubs in New Jersey. They said, ‘You won’t need to be topless.’ It sounded awfully good when I was broke and eating pizza every day, but I never did it.”

But despite it sounding ‘awfully good’, Jennifer Lopez was in her senses enough to not take the risk of becoming a stripper and look for some other reliable source of money instead.

Although she didn’t become a stripper in real life for money, Jennifer Lopez did, in fact, play a stripper in her 2019 comedy/crime, Hustlers. Revealing how she felt while agreeing to the role, she said,

“I was a little nervous about doing this movie because I had never played someone this dark or complicated. I liked that Ramona, the character I play, and the other strippers were looked at as equals to their patrons, the guys on Wall Street. Ramona reminded me of that girlfriend we all have who is exciting but can also get you into trouble. You always miss that friend when she’s gone, but when you get together, you worry you might find yourself in some crazy situation. That’s Ramona.”

She also shared how learning how to pole dance was one of the hardest things she had ever done in her entire life.

“I have danced all my life and I work out every single day. And I can say without hesitation that learning to pole dance was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done.”

Nevertheless, Jennifer Lopez managed to pull even this off the same way she managed to earn money without being a stripper, judging from how she absolutely nailed her performance in the $157 million movie.
