After the Charlie Cox starrer Daredevil (2015) Netflix series became a mega-hit among the audience, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again. However, in a recent disappointing yet unsurprising update, it has been revealed by Hollywood’s famous stuntman, Chris Brewster that the upcoming movie would be nothing like the fan-favorite 3 seasons series.

Brewster, who has served as a professional body double for Charlie Cox in all three seasons of the Netflix series among others, recently revealed in a podcast how Marvel Studios don’t want any connection of Daredevil: Born Again with the blockbuster Daredevil Netflix series, saying,

“Marvel has told every person working on that show that they don’t want Born Again to look anything like the Netflix Daredevil series. Trust me, not only did I work on the show, I was one of the biggest fans of the show. I think that the Marvel Netflix Daredevil was a masterpiece. I think that, now that the MCU has taken over the character, they are really, really hurting it.”

As it turns out, the much-awaited movie just might not turn out to be as good as expected since Marvel will be changing the entire plot of the movie to make it completely different from the smasher Netflix series.

While the news about the movie being nothing like the series was enough to crush fans, Brewster has also revealed how he will not be starring in Daredevil: Born Again. He said,

“Ultimately, Born Again, I had no doubt that they were gonna reach out to me. Charlie [Cox] specifically requests me on everything, he always goes out of his way and fights for me to be there, and he asked them over and over to bring me in, and I never even got a phone call. Ironically, nobody who worked on seasons one, two, or three, went back. There were some truly, truly wonderful people who worked on that show, and I think they really added to the magic of that show, and I think that Marvel’s making a big mistake. But what are you going to do?”

Apparently, several other members of the series’ cast besides Chris Brewster have also not been called back, which just might be enough to make this movie a deal-breaker among fans. With such disastrous updates coming up every other day, the way Daredevil: Born Again will be welcomed on the big screens, only time can tell.
