Steven Seagal was among Hollywood’s leading action heroes in the 1980s-90s. However, his career trajectory saw a major downfall involving different reasons. Several celebrities in the industry dislike being associated with former Hollywood star, Steven Seagal due to different reasons. One such personality is the 56-year-old actress, Julianna Margulies, who opened up about being uncomfortable in being alone with him.
She is well known for her drama series ER. But before gaining recognition for her medical drama series, she made her feature film debut in his 1991 action film, Out for Justice where she played a s*x worker.
Back in 2018, she opened up about her horrifying experience with the former during an appearance on The Katie Couric Podcast via The Hollywood Reporter when she met him at a hotel. She was informed by a casting director to visit over a scene with her in his hotel room but eventually found herself being alone with him.
She told the host,
“I walked in and I sat down and I jumped right back up because there was something very uncomfortable and hard in the couch. He laughed and said, ‘Oh, sorry, that must have been my gun. He lifted up the cushion and he took out his gun.”
The actress was traumatized by the incident as she claimed to have “never seen a gun in my life, not up close.” She somehow managed to escape that scenario back then but ended up getting a part in the film.

The actress went on to share how that hotel incident shook her to the core which is why she did her best to ensure that she would never have to be alone with the actor again.
When the then-recent college graduate finally got booked for a role in the 1991 film, she told the crew about being extremely uncomfortable alone in his presence.
“I said to everyone in there, I know you don’t know me, but I’d really appreciate it if no one would ever let me be in the room alone with him. Because I was scared.”
Her uncomfortable experience came in the wake of the #MeToo movement, which brought forward the dark side of Hollywood figures. Due to that experience, she learned the hard way to never go into private meetings alone.
