Recently, during an interview with GQ, Murphy was asked if his fans mispronounced his name, to which the actor responded by saying that it rarely happens with him now and he isn’t bothered by it at all. The actor continued by explaining,
“There’s no ‘K’ in the Irish language, and it gets really boring.”

Coming back to Murphy, the actor has played the role of J Robert Oppenheimer, who is also popularly known as the father of the atomic bomb. During the same interview, Murphy was asked if he related to the character he played. The actor very subtly replied to this by saying,
“It’s imperative not to judge the character. Because then you’ve lost as a performer.”
The actor further explained that to ace a particular role, it is necessary to understand it. The actor said,
“You have to be like a kind of emotional detective. But your job primarily is to define the truth in the character to try and portray them in a truthful way.”
Murphy’s film Oppenheimer was released on July 21, 2023, and is still running in theaters worldwide.
