The interviews by Ali Plumb are always a treat to watch. And as it so happens, Paul Rudd is a fantastic interviewee to be paired with. The 53-year-old actor has been delivering comedic gold for decades now and his recent promotional appearance at BBC Radio 1 was an entertaining few minutes of shenanigans to watch. And insightful as they are, there have been weird as well as thought-provoking questions along the way, and Plumb has successfully made us pause and wonder whether eyeballs do count as holes or not.

Avengers: Endgame Puts Ant-Man in Two Places At Once
Among the action-packed epic emotional roller-coaster adventure that was Avengers: Endgame, the filmmakers, Anthony and Joe Russo, along with the hundreds of VFX, CGI, and video editing crew, are all worth forgiving for missing out on the tiniest (and simultaneously, the biggest) duality on the final cut of Avengers: Endgame. But when it comes to the fandom, the tiniest details become inescapable from the scrutinizing all-seeing eyes.

For over 3 years since the release of Endgame, there has been a pestering and nagging little error in the narrative that appears as an overlooked glitch in the story. Once the Battle of Earth is at its peak, the brown van that is supposed to be traveling across the battleground carrying precious cargo is seen getting hotwired by Ant-Man. But at the same time, the tiny Avenger is in his giant form in the background fighting Thanos’s army in full swing.
At first, these two events almost look like they’re occurring in quick succession but upon closer inspection, it is really just taking place simultaneously and as such, the error has become a fun red herring for the fandom in the past few years.
Paul Rudd Addresses Endgame‘s Dual Ant-Man Theory

During his recent BBC Radio 1 talk, Paul Rudd was asked about the dual Ant-Man theory, and equipped with what he now knows about the Quantum Realm, the actor comments on his idea about what must have happened during the Battle of Earth:
“Well, you know, when you see this new Ant-Man movie, you’ll see there’s like a moment where there’s more than one Ant-Man and maybe it’s a similar kind of… yeah, it’s just a glimpse into the future.”
Although the comment was made in jest, the moment that Paul Rudd refers to in his reply essentially occurs in a Probability Storm, a Quantum Realm anomaly he discovers during the events of Quantumania. So, even though it is an impossibility in the chronology of events, considering how time travel is already a reality in the MCU now, nothing can be left out of consideration.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now playing in theatres.
