Donald Glover Confirmed Lando Calrissian’s S*x With Robots
With Donald Glover currently making headlines about his return to the Star Wars franchise as the iconic Lando Calrissian in the Disney+ series Lando, it’s time to recall his character from the 2018 Lucasfilm project. Evidently, Glover played the first Lando Calrissian of color, in the 2018 Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Following his appearance in the movie, the actor reflected upon his onscreen character and addressed the often-asked question about Lando’s s*x scenes. During an interview with GQ, Donald Glover got vocal about his character’s intimate scenes in the movie, which sparked curiosity among audiences.
“I got so much, cause people were like, ‘was he really f*cking robots? Cause I don’t think Lando would do that’. And I was like maybe he would.”
The actor subtly confirmed that his character, Lando Calrissian, might have gotten intimate with robots in space. Further, reflecting upon people’s questions about his character’s s*xuality, Glover mentioned, “But also like I stand by, I’m like, there’s lots of things to f**k in space”.

Donald Glover’s Take On His Character’s S*xuality In Space
While the OG Star Wars movies, deliberately avoided showing s*x scenes and barely even allowed intimate moments, to maintain their PG rating, the recent movies under Lucasfilm, certainly destroyed that reputation. Playing readily with the practical taboo of the franchise, the recent movies and series included several intimate moments.
Leading the audience to wonder about s*x in space, the recent movies and series even added the concept of s*xuality in their characters. Thus, Lando Calrissian was portrayed as a pansexual character by Donald Glover. “There’s a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee’s [portrayal of Lando’s] s*xuality” screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan confirmed. This exact thing made people wonder how Glover’s character managed to be pansexual in space.
Addressing fans’ queries about his character’s s*xuality, the actor reverted,
“How can you not be pansexual in space? There’s so many things to have s*x with”. He further added, “I’m serious. I didn’t think that was that weird…if you’re in space, the door’s open. It’s like, not only guys or girls. No, it’s anything. This thing is literally a blob. Are you a man or a woman? Like, who cares? Have a good time out here.”
