"There's always room for a cheesy joke": Dwayne Johnson Joked He Has Guns after Being Pulled Over Near XFL Stadium

Dwayne Johnson’s physique is the main selling point of all his films. After all, his action star image is all courtesy of how much effort he still puts into maintaining his Greek god-like perfect body. From Rampage to Black Adam, the actor is serious about his craft.

However, The Rock is also famously known for having humor as well. Hanging out with Kevin Hart and doing those Jumanji films probably amplified his funny bones. In fact, he’s so secure in his jokes that he didn’t stop himself from pulling out a gun joke in front of a police officer.

Earlier this year, Dwayne Johnson filmed a hilarious interaction outside an XFL stadium with police officers. In the video shared on TikTok, it looked like the star was part of a routine security check going on at the arena. A police officer requested the Hercules star to unlock his doors and that led to a funny comment by Johnson.

Here’s how the conversation went:

Officer: “Can you please do me a favor and put in park for me and make sure the doors are unlocked?

Dwayne Johnson: “I can, and I got a lot of guns in here.”

Then he flexed his biceps and said, “These kind.” Then the officer laughed at this and The Rock ended the conversation by saying, “There’s always room for a cheesy joke, I know. You’re welcome.” Here’s the caption Johnson used on his video:

“Absolutely horrible joke, but impeccable timing. You’re welcome. XFL game day rollin’ up to the stadium. All love, gratitude, and respect for our men and women keeping us all safe.”

While the Fast and Furious star was just joking, everyone knows that his two guns are no joke. The action star gives it his all for every film he does. The last film where his dedication towards cultivating a physically perfect body was transparent was in Black Adam.

In an interview with Men’s Journal, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he was committed to bringing Teth Adam/ Black Adam from the comics to on-screen perfectly. This meant portraying the chiseled rock-solid body of the character in the film, exactly like how it was in the comics. He said:

“I started training for Black Adam when I came out of the womb. I believe I was born to play this character… Getting the greenlight for Black Adam was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to raise the bar yet again. That work with Dave, we wanted to bring a whole new philosophy and methodology to the way I push myself in the gym.”

The film wasn’t as loved or successful as The Rock would have liked. It couldn’t even reach $400 million worldwide. As such, his DC tenure came to an end. However, there’s still a lingering question- will James Gunn invite Johnson to be a part of the new DCU in some way? That remains to be seen.

Black Adam is available on HBO Max.
