With the dazzling actress finally coming out of retirement, fans are engrossed to witness how Cameron Diaz’s next chapter in Hollywood unfolds. But the 8-year hiatus from the acting realm did provide her a new perspective on certain matters, as she is enthralled about her comeback in the upcoming project, Back in Action. But this period also involved some wild adventures for the actress.
Among these, one took place during one of her birthdays, when some of her close pals in the entertainment industry organized a surprise party for the Bad Teacher star.
Cameron Diaz recalled the surprise party where her friends kept waiting in the bathroom
Organizing a surprise party arrive with its own sets of challenges and crafting a surprise birthday party for Cameron Diaz went a little south after the actress didn’t arrive on time. Considering the party for the actress’ birthday was taking place in Gwyneth Paltrow’s home, some of the actress’ close friends from the industry like Jimmy Fallon kept waiting in the bathtub for about half an hour. The two recalled the hilarious situation, as they chimed in together explaining,
“It was a surprise birthday and you guys were all stuck in the bathroom for like a half an hour,” said Diaz. Fallon then explained, “It was in Gwyneth Paltrow’s house, and it was a surprise party for you and you were late… We are all stuck in the bathtub like why we are hiding in the bathtub, We can hide anywhere in the house… There was like 10 of us in the bathroom waiting for you”
But despite the inconveniences that the 10 had to endure while organizing this party, things eventually worked out, as they did succeed in making her birthday memorable.
Cameron Diaz is excited to star alongside Jamie Foxx in her comeback project
With Cameron Diaz trying to get her footing in the industry back, the actress once expressed that getting back into the acting realm has been both exciting and nervous. Considering the actress hasn’t worked in front of the lenses since 2014, getting back to her roots was a challenge that the actress quite enjoyed, as she praised her costar Jamie Foxx for his professionalism. The actress explained,
“The last movie I made was Annie with Jamie, and so the first movie back is this film with Jamie. He’s so great, he’s so easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented. And just being able to work with him, it’ll be so much fun.”
With just months away before the actress hits 51, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Diaz in the realm of acting, as fans keep patiently waiting for Back in Action.
