The 2017 action thriller The Foreigner was received pretty well by critics and grossed over $145 million with a budget of $35 million. Jackie Chan starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film, and he was very happy to share the screen with the Hollywood star. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he was asked if he needed assistance assembling the bombs Ngoc Minh Quan made in the film.
He said, “Yes, on set, there was an expert who taught me.” However, he still did not learn specifically how to make a homemade bomb. He shared that the bombs he learned to make for the film were just for appearance and he didn’t know how to make homemade bombs.
“I don’t know how to build them, that’s way too hard. It’s just for appearances,” he shared. It was also Chan’s first time working with the James Bond star and he also shared his experience working with him in Martin Campbell’s 2017 film.

However, Brosnan told him that he was going back to sleep. Chan was touched and shared that he became very emotional. “What?! You came here just to help me rehearse?! Wow!” he shared during the interview. He appreciated his co-star’s efforts in helping him and said that the people involved in the film were very professional.
