Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case has been one of the messiest divorces in decades. However, ahead of that famous event, Depp’s co-star from Pirates of the Caribbean had undergone a divorce. Actor Orlando Bloom, currently dating singing sensation Katy Perry, was once married to the model Miranda Kerr. The duo was married for a few years, however, the divorce situation was quite worrisome for the star.
The actor was romantically involved with the Victoria’s Secret model from 2007 to 2013, and they also have a son. Bloom was very distressed about the impact of divorce on their child.

Orlando Bloom and his former wife Miranda Kerr issued a joint statement in 2013 in which they announced their separation. The couple revealed they had already separated for a month, however, they love, support, and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.
Kerr shared in an interview with The Edit that the divorce was the right thing to do, as they realized that they did not bring out the best in each other. The duo shared that they have remained friends after separation, but it was difficult for them to re-organize their lives without impacting their little son.
Bloom told The Mirror,
“There was a period of instability when his mum and I were separating and we both made conscious choices that we would be around as much as possible to help that whole transitional period. Now things have settled nicely, everybody is in a good place.”
Johnny Depp’s co-star shared in an interview with Katie Couric in 2013 that he still holds affection for Kerr. He said (via Vanity Fair),
“We love each other, we’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives. There’s no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”

In 2010, the couple surprised everyone when they announced that they were married. The pair had opted for an intimate ceremony. The couple welcomes their son, Flynn, a year later. Bloom and Kerr were together till 2013, and after that, they are co-parenting their son.
