Henry Cavill made his first and to date last appearance in the blockbuster franchise of Mission: Impossible by appearing in its sixth installment titled, Mission: Impossible – Fallout. In the action-packed sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Cavill delivered a memorable performance that left audiences on the edge of their seats. Cavill portrayed August Walker, a formidable CIA agent who becomes involved in Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) dangerous mission. 

During his time on the sets of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Cavill expressed his admiration for working with Christopher McQuarrie, emphasizing the director’s flexibility and willingness to evolve the story based on the unfolding scenes and new ideas. The Witcher star also shared that he believes that the duo of Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie is extraordinary as they always come up with innovative ideas. 

“When you’re working with McQ, you realize that he’s not stuck to one thing, and that’s really, really important. I think it’s very important to have a framework to work from, but he is constantly evolving the story depending on how the scenes are turned out, what’s available, and any new ideas that are coming in. He and Tom [Cruise] as a duo is extraordinary because they are always coming up with creative ideas.”

Christopher McQuarrie On The New Revision Of Mission: Impossible 8 

Christopher McQuarrie revealed that he is currently in the process of rewriting Mission: Impossible 8. He hinted that any actor from the franchise’s past could potentially make a comeback, leaving the door open for Cavill’s return. 

“I’m in the process of rewriting Mission: 8 right now, this afternoon I could turn a page, and any actor from the past could come back. There is no such thing as death in movies, only unavailability.”
