Emma Watson opened up about working in the Harry Potter film series. She also shared the reason behind having a nervous breakdown on the sets while filming the last two films and what inspired her to keep playing the role.

Watson was ten years old when auditioned for Hermione Granger’s role. The actress once claimed that when she began filming the first part of the franchise Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the film set was more of a kindergarten for her than a professional workplace.

 “It was my kindergarten, school, and university. Animals, special effects, media training, stunts, it was endless. I feel so thankful,” the English star said.

In a candid interview, Emma Watson opened up about the on-set challenges she faces, “There are days when I just panicked.” The actress explained that when she became panicky about filming certain scenes, she talked with her Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 director David Yates.

“I mean really just… ‘David, I don’t know how to do this!’ I didn’t know how to act… I’ve never been tortured before, I have no idea how to pull that off. I have no idea what it feels like to see your friend bleeding to death in your arms. There was some really hard stuff to do, like what it’s like to erase your parents’ memories and walk out the door.”

She continued, “I think for me, I have quite an academic, like a heady approach, I guess, to the way that I act, and us just talking through what it meant, what does it mean for her? Having the time to be very clear in my head about what exactly everything was allowed me to give a really good performance.”

Emma Watson’s role in the Harry Potter Line of films has been one of the most iconic and successful in cinematic history. However, some scenes in the film series were quite difficult and stressful for Watson. At times, she had breakdowns when the stress got too strong. Nevertheless, she is a strong woman and always comes back to deliver remarkable performances in all her films.
