HBO’s The Last of Us, which fulfills fans’ high expectations, continues to impress the fans with its brilliant screenplay and execution. In a time when the human race is devastated by the fungal infestation, Ellie is seen as a possible cure to this deadly plague and Joel must escort her safely across the lands. Though the story closely follows the original game, yet in the series fans can expect a better backstory for side characters.
The Last of Us Expected Timeline
The first season of the HBO series is expected to cover the entire first half of the game. The Season 1 of The Last of Us will comprise 9 episodes. The first episode titled, When You’re Lost in the Darkness, was aired on January 15, 2023. The episodes are set for a weekly release every Sunday. Keeping in the mind the above fashion, the second episode was released on January 22, 2023. The third episode titled, Long Long Time will be released on January 29, 2023. The ninth and the last episode is time lined to be released on March 12, 2023.
There are speculations that the makers will soon announce the confirmation of the second season of the series, keeping in mind the overwhelming support it received from the audience.
