With just the opening day, it became the highest opening film of the year with a whopping $70.5 Million box office collection on day one, and the film still has a long term remaining at the cinemas. After the Greta Gerwig directorial has been wowing fans from across the globe, Mattel and WB have decided to expand the film into a franchise and create a Barbie Cinematic Universe in the coming future. This means that we will be seeing a lot of Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie as Ken and Barbie respectively in the coming years.
