On Thursday, September 7th, That ’70s Show alum Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for r*ping two women two decades ago. The Hollywood couple wrote character letters in support of Danny Masterson to the judge presiding over his trial to request leniency in sentencing. The two celebrities received harsh criticism once the letters were made public. They released an apology video, but it has only served to stir more controversy. Now, an old, disturbing clip of Kutcher is traveling across the corners of the internet and eliciting further condemnation.

In the letters that were subjected to public scrutiny, Ashton Kutcher spoke well of Danny Masterson, claiming that the latter was a “role model” and “a positive influence” on him. The character letter urged the actor’s testament to be taken into consideration in Masterson’s sentencing. Obtained by Tony Ortega, it even explicitly mentioned the following:
“While I’m aware that the judgment has been cast as guilty on two counts of r*pe by force and the victims have a great desire for justice. I hope that my testament to his character is taken into consideration in sentencing. I do not believe he is an ongoing harm to society and having his daughter raised without a present father would be a tertiary injustice in and of itself.”
Mila Kunis, Kutcher’s wife, voiced similar sentiments in her letter. The Black Swan star stated that Masterson is an “amazing friend, confidant, and, above all, an outstanding older brother figure” to the actress. She went on to vouch for his “exceptional character” in her concluding statement.

The two celebs released a video on Instagram to explain their motivation for penning the letters after they startled the entire globe with their shocking support for the convicted actor. Here, they acknowledged the pain their letters caused. Kunis further affirmed the couple’s wholehearted support for victims, even asserting that they’ve done so “historically” through their work. Kutcher revealed that Masterson’s family had requested that they write these letters to “represent” the man they were acquainted with for 25 years.
The letters were designed to aid the judge in considering Danny Masterson’s character while determining the sentence. The couple also claimed that the letters didn’t mean to question or undermine the case’s judicial legitimacy or the victims’ testimonies. They concluded the video by stating the following:
“Our heart goes out to every single person who has ever been a victim of s*xual assault, s*xual abuse, or r*pe.”
After this video was published, an old clip of 25-year-old Ashton Kutcher making dreadful remarks about Hilary Duff and the Olsen Twins appeared online.
Ashton Kutcher’s Strange Comments About The Olsen Twins
A 2003 clip from Ashton Kutcher’s MTV show, Punk’d, was recently posted on the internet. The video shows the actor making strange comments about Hilary Duff, who was at the time 15 years old, and the Olsen Twins, who were 17. Following is what the video stated:
“Hilary Duff is in Lizzie McGuire. She also has an album out. She’s going to be in a movie called Cheaper By The Dozen. And she’s one of the girls that we’re all waiting for to turn 18. Along with the Olsen Twins.”
