Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 ended with a note saying, “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return.” And its director has confirmed that the quote hints at a solo Star-Lord movie. He shared that he and Chris Pratt have always discussed how great it would be to have a solo feature for Peter Quill.

“And Chris and I, forever, have talked about how great it would be to be able to do a ‘Legendary Star-Lord’ movie,” he shared. Gunn also stated that the movie would follow Peter Quil trying to adapt to the “environment of Earth.”

Will The Flash’s Reboot Work For James Gunn’s New DCU?

The 2023 DC movie, which was expected to be a game changer for the studio and its upcoming movies, has been termed a box office bomb. The film opened at $55 million, even behind the Dwayne Johnson starrer Black Adam’s box office opening. It’s been weeks since the movie’s release, and it has grossed only $249 million at the box office so far.

The reported budget of the movie is $200 million without marketing costs. And even weeks after its release, the movie doesn’t seem profitable for the studio. The box office performance of The Flash has not only raised doubts regarding Miller’s future in the DCU but also his on-screen character, The Flash.

The Flash is playing in theatres.
