The Flash: First Look At New Costume Logo Revealed

In the DC FanDome event held last year in August, director Andy Muschietti revealed his grand plans for The Flash starring Ezra Miller which will change the course of the DC Extended Universe. After facing a series of languishing development hell, The Flash finally found its director in Muschietti as directors like Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, John Francis Daley, and Jonathan Goldstein left the project due to creative differences and other undisclosed reasons. With a screenplay by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey), the movie has found solid footing as Andy Muschietti has now revealed the first look at the new costume logo for the Scarlet Speedster.

Earlier this month, Muschietti had also revealed the classic Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) logo, confirming the appearance of Michael Keaton in the upcoming movie. Not a stranger to social media, director Andy Muschietti had also revealed the casting choice for the role of Supergirl on social media too, who will also be appearing in The Flash.

Ezra Miller, who first appeared as Barry Allen/Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a cameo scene became a fan-favorite after the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The speedster’s impossible speed to phase through objects and reverse time itself came in handy when the combined efforts of the Justice League failed to stop the synergy of the Mother Boxes. However, the character was criticized for his make-shift costume. However, from the recent picture that has been revealed by Muschietti, the Scarlet Speedster might be having a major wardrobe makeover in the upcoming movie by switching to the character’s classic red costume from the comics.

In the past few months, the DCEU has been trying to focus on adapting comic-book accurate costumes for the characters, starting from Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 1984 to the recently released photos of Shazam ahead of the upcoming sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

The Flash’s time-reversal ability using his incredible speeds will be a major plot device for the upcoming movie as the Scarlet Speedster will open up the multiverse in his desperate attempt to bring back his deceased mother, if reports are to be believed. Based loosely on the critically acclaimed comic book The Flashpoint Paradox, Andy Muschietti’s The Flash can potentially alter the future of the DCEU after a series of hit and miss.

The Flash is scheduled to release on 4th November, 2022.
