The Witcher is a Netflix fantasy drama series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. A recent tweet emerged on the internet which reportedly included the transcript of a Deuxomi podcast, where an insider from the sets of The Witcher described Cavill’s personality as a “toxic sexist gamer.” The insider also described working with the Justice League star as just like working with any other drug or alcohol addict. The transcript also alleged the Man of Steel actor as a misogynist and blamed his game addiction for his troublesome attitude on the sets.

Reportedly, Henry Cavill introduced last moment changes in the script without any intimidation to his co-workers. The maker of the series too is a female, who struggled the most with Cavill’s misogynist personality. The Enola Holmes star’s game addiction resulted in several changes which did not align with the processing of the makers. Cavill reportedly was rude to his co-workers and annoyed everyone on the set with his personality.

Henry Cavill’s Exit From The Witcher

With the increasing hate comments against Henry Cavill, reportedly some fans have taken up a stance to defend their favorite star. It was pretty evident by the statement made by the insider, that he didn’t like the gamers as a whole. As his statement repeatedly blamed Cavill’s gaming addiction for his allegedly toxic and misogynist personality.

Many believe that Cavill’s silence on this issue ensures the fact that “the core fanbase doesn’t seem to be taking the bait.” Many believe that the updates by the insider reflects the fact that the board of makers just hated every gamer present on the team, which too was ensured after a writer of The Witcher was kicked out of the team as he supported Cavill’s script changes.

And now Cavill will follow the same path as his writer friend, by leaving the series permanently, and Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in season 4 of The Witcher. Cavill’s exit came in the wake of his reported tantrums on the set. It was claimed that Cavill received a final warning from makers after the increasing complaints from the crew. Cavill ignored the warning, which in turn resulted in his exit from the Netflix fantasy series. It is tough to say what is next in the Man of Steel star’s professional life post his huge loss.

Cavill will be seen one last time reprising the role of Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming third season of The Witcher, which will premiere on Netflix in the summer of 2023.
