Bella Ramsey, the fierce actress known for portraying the character of Lyanna Mormont in the hit HBO drama Game of Thrones was once again showered with love for HBO’s The Last of Us. People felt Ramsay (who prefers the pronouns “they”) was a perfect choice for the role of Ellie which she performed exceptionally.

Not everyone was on board with the actress since many people felt that they were not pretty enough! Ramsey stated that they would look for the most hurtful and horrible comments on the Internet as a means of a game but deep inside, it did hurt them.

Bella Ramsey Was Trolled For Their Sexuality

The Game of Thrones actress felt the need to address their sexuality by being open to the public. According to Bella Ramsey, who prefers the pronouns ‘they’ got candid about the people trolling her for her facial features claiming that they weren’t pretty or they had a square head.

In an interview with GQ, Bella Ramsey openly talked about the online hatred that they faced for starring in the role of Ellie in the famous HBO show The Last of Us. Starring alongside Pedro Pascal, Ramsey portrayed the perfect Ellie that OG fans could ever ask for, and yet, not everyone was satisfied.

Bella Ramsey stated that they were “taunted by everyone online for their square head”. She later continued,

“You’re looking for a comment that’s more painful than the last one, I’d kid myself that I was doing it in jest. I wish I could say that I was confident enough [already] that it hasn’t affected me in any way, but it has.”

This wasn’t enough for the brave actress since they revealed that whatever they did was for Ellie and her justice.

In the interview, the actress further continued that they only wanted to give the character of Ellie justice. The actress was adored by the people for being a perfect Ellie for the game-to-TV adaptation of the same name from the PlayStation game.

“I’m just glad I could do that for them and for the show and for Ellie. I want to do her justice.”

It all turned out to be a good decision in the end since the series currently stands at a rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.9/10 on IMDB. Pedro Pascal was hailed as a live-action Joel alongside Bella Ramsey’s Ellie. The Last of Us is available to stream on HBO Max.
