Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood until Angelina Jolie crashed their five-year-old marriage. But again, Brad Pitt has continued to remain friends with the Friends star, unlike his enmity with Jolie. The ex-couple previously got the internet buzzing after the Django Unchained actor gate-crashed Ansiton’s 50th birthday bash.
It came out that Pitt received an invitation from someone else, and it wasn’t gate-crashing in any sense as he wanted to be present there to show support on her special day. The two may have continued to remain on amicable terms, but again, there’s something the two always avoided, and that is, working together professionally.
The Reason For Not Working Together Stems From Logic
During an interview with BBC, Jennifer Aniston opened up about the idea of working together with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. When the super couple was married, they were already wrapped up in several projects, and fans wondered if they would ever appear together in a solid Hollywood project.
Even though the Fight Club actor and Murder Mystery star worked on a few projects, the ex-couple didn’t really align with the idea of working together professionally. Aniston narrated:
“That would be just asking for trouble. You wouldn’t even see the movie, because it would be too much of a show in another way. Maybe years down the line, if the right thing came along, of course, we’d love to.Ocean’s Twenty, maybe.”
While her mildly-cracked joke on Ocean’s presumed twentieth installation never rang a bell in anyone’s head, Pitt surely shared the same sentiment, mentioning that if one goes by past case studies of couples working together in films, the odds are really against them.
Despite Jennifer Aniston’s complete departure as a lover, fans continued to hope for a possible reunion between the two stars. The two, however, reunited virtually in 2020 at the live table read of the classic 1980s comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Jennifer Aniston And Brad Pitt Feel Like Yesterday
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s divorce may be a two-decade-old tale, but it all feels like yesterday, considering their amicable relations to date. While the ex-super couple, Brangelina ended up being a massive disaster, it is this abandoned love that keeps Brad Pitt entangled with Aniston.
From starting their love story in 1998; crashing Sting’s 1999 concert in NYC, showing off Aniston’s engagement ring; hosting a luxurious Malibu wedding in 2000, to Pitt falling for Angie, the ex-couple has experienced 360-degree emotions during their time together.
Jennifer Aniston, who finalized her divorce from Pitt in 2005, has moved on beyond the idea of Brad Pitt, either as a professional or personal partner. In 2001, the actor did appear on a Friends episode called “The One With the Rumor”.
Their relationship didn’t turn out as promising as their impact as a power couple, but their “friends status” continue to triumph. As for a possible movie collaboration in the present time, chances are as negligible as the making of Ocean’s Twenty!
