They thought that by working together, fans might associate them together and they won’t be able to create an individual image of themselves in the minds of people.
“We fell prey to this idea that, ‘Well if you don’t individuate your careers and do your own things, people will always associate you together. That will be limiting.”
The duo came to this industry to chase their dreams of becoming Hollywood icons and they clearly have become one. But the Gone Girl actor believes they should have done more projects together.
How Did Ben Affleck & Matt Damon Become Besties?
The two Hollywood stars bromance was going on since their childhood days. They became friends when Affleck was 8 years old and Damon was 10. In one of the interviews, they also mentioned that they use to be roommates as well. During their first meet, they knew the friendship is going to last long as they have the same dream destination to chase i.e “Hollywood”. Affleck once also told Forbes about how both of them managed the residential place in Hollywood.
“So we lived in Glendale and Eagle Rock and we lived in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Venice, by the Hollywood Bowl, all over the place. We’d get thrown out of some places or we’d have to upgrade or downgrade depending on who had money.”
After reaching greater heights in a career, many friendships break due to jealousy or just by growing apart. But this bromance continues even now and currently has been working on a new project.
Ben Affleck And Matt Damon’s New Project
After being brainwashed about being together will ruin their individuality, the two besties have reunited for a new project. The two of them have kind of good filmmaking resumes and have started their own production company named “Artists Equity”. The new film by their production named Air will be coming out in theatres on April 5. They both revealed that they have always wanted to do filmmaking together and today have made their dream come true. Air film will soon stream on Amazon Prime Video.
