Daniel Radcliffe has been surrounded by some of the biggest stars ever since his childhood. From Gary Oldman to Alan Rickman, there has been a big learning experience with every step of his career. Whether it was as Harry Potter or any other role, there has been something or the other that the actor has learned to implement in his future projects and he never lets that go either.
There are many movies that the actor has done which people were stunned to see. Outside of his work in the iconic franchise, Radcliffe has done a great number of movies. However, there was one role many might forget easily. The sequel to Now You See Me was not a movie that got a lot of recognition.
Daniel Radcliffe Was in Awe of His Now You See Me 2 Co-Star
While working on Now You See Me 2 Daniel Radcliffe got the opportunity to work alongside Michael Caine. The legendary actor manages to bring the spotlight onto himself no matter what movie he may be doing. Even when working with Radcliffe, he managed to leave some wisdom to the actor.
“As an English person, he was one of those people that I heard talked about growing up — and you’d be like, ‘Oh, I want people to talk about me that way one day.’ That is the Everest of my own personal aspiration. That would be the greatest compliment that I can think of, because he’s kind of universally adored as a person and as a professional … Still going, and still loves it.”
The actor noticed the reputation that Caine had and knew that when it came time for him to be known as a veteran actor, he wanted a similar reputation to that of The Dark Knight actor. He was in awe of the actor and how Caine was interacting with everyone else, something he wanted to implement in his own career as well.
Daniel Radcliffe Thought Michael Caine Was Different From Other Actors
Daniel Radcliffe saw a completely different side of how actors can be when he was working with Michael Caine. The environment that the actor had set was completely different from what he was used to. As a renowned actor, he was still mixing well with the crowd with a rather welcoming persona.
“He’s not one of these older actors — and there are a lot of them — that come on like, ‘Okay, let’s just do it and get it done and I’ll go.’ He’s having fun, he’s having a laugh, he’s having a joke, he’s catching up with a friend. It’s really inspirational.”
On previous occasions, Radcliffe has been influenced by other actors as well, such as Gary Oldman. Oldman managed to teach something new to the actor throughout his time in the Harry Potter franchise. Similarly, Caine had a massive influence on the actor as well.
