Sylvester Stallone Used His Art To Bring Rocky Balboa To Life!
Although he may be fondly remembered for playing several roles in his life, the role of Rocky Balboa in the Rocky and Creed franchises probably will stay his most iconic and memorable role till date. A tale of an Italian boxer who gradually reaches the pinnacle of the martial art and sport was depicted to perfection by the Tulsa King star, while also being the writer of the series as well. But what helped him bring the character to life was his love for painting.

In an Instagram post made by the star on his page, he posted the image of him standing in front of a framed portrait of his character Rocky. before entering the Hollywood industry, Stallone was known as a gifted painter who expressed himself through the stroke of a brush. Thus, it was natural for him to bring the character he had written to life so he could get a picture about what he had to do to make it as memorable as he could.
Posting the picture on his Instagram, he wrote:
“Before I wrote the script for Rocky, because I wanted to have a mental image of him in my mind, so this is the way I pictured him at the time…The eyes tell the story.”
Thus, bringing the image to life, the star was excellently able to make the most of the character, which helped Rocky to win the Oscar for Best Picture in 1977.

What’s Next For Sylvester Stallone?
While it may be true that the Creed franchise is continuing the legacy of Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, it seems like the star doesn’t think the same as he has taken his leave from the franchise, which means we wouldn’t see him guiding Adonis Creed anymore. But the good news is the fact that his critically acclaimed TV show Tulsa King has been renewed for a second season. While we don’t have the details about when the production will begin, we can say for sure that Stallone will make sure everything is perfect.
