Mark Ruffalo’s Tweet Criticized Two Powerful Entities
Mark Ruffalo’s tweet was based on The Washington Post article citing a report on the Digital Services Act by the European Commission. According to the report, social media giants like Meta and X / Twitter were the reason behind the spread of Russian disinformation against Ukraine during the war.
The Washington Post article suggested that Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter back in April 2022 and changed the Twitter safety standard policies, was the root cause for this issue. Mark Ruffalo was quick to respond to The Washington Post’s tweet of this article, quote retweeting it with the caption “Surprise, Surprise.”
