DCU Co-CEO James Gunn has come up with the idea of a reboot of the franchise to prevent DCU from drowning. Looking at some previous performances by DC Films, it hasn’t produced anything impressive for its audience.
Gunn’s decision for DC Universe’s reboot might revive the franchise; however, many anticipated films may be affected. Recently, it was reported that Warner Bros. has scrapped the sequel to Justice League.
Previously, Warner Bros. and Justice League‘s director Zack Snyder were planning to produce the second installment of the film. Snyder had also often mentioned the arrival of the sequel. The director once shared his vision for the sequel to the film and stated that it would witness the return of Darkseid to Earth.
All these theories indeed ignited hope in fans’ hearts, and they eagerly waited for the arrival of the sequel. However, the film’s cancellation has outraged the fans, and now they are criticizing Gunn’s decision.
Although WB has made no such official announcement, either about the Justice League sequel or its cancellation.
