Super Bowl 2023 will witness a battle between Kansas City Chiefs (American Football Conference champion) and Philadelphia Eagles (National Football Conference champion) for the trophy. While every fan of the sport has their jerseys out to support the team of their choice, there is yet another aspect of Super Bowl LVII which excites another set of people – trailers.
Super Bowl 2023 will be full to the brim with movie trailers. Even those who do not particularly enjoy football will be tuning in to watch the event just for the sake of the trailers that will be dropping on February 12. From Fast X to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Super Bowl 2023 is ready to increase the hype surrounding these projects. On top of that, the event might also have something for the fans of MCU and DCU.
Will There Be MCU and DCU Trailers at Super Bowl 2023?
Fast X, Dungeons and Dragons, AIR, 65, and Scream VI are some trailers that are confirmed to be shown during the Super Bowl 2023. However, according to some sources, it looks like a few superhero flicks, along with others, could also be given some screen time at the event.
Up first, a preview for Ezra Miller’s The Flash will reportedly be released at around 6:30 p.m. ET and a TV Spot with footage from the film will air towards the end of the first quarter on FOX. Next is a film fans of the MCU are looking forward to quite a bit and are also dreading due to the possible death of a fellow teammate – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Deadline reported that a look into Brie Larson’s The Marvels will also be seen during Super Bowl 2023.
A Guide to Super Bowl Commercials
Super Bowl is one of the most watched events in the sports industry. The 2022 Super Bowl alone saw an audience of 99.18 million in the United States. The 2015 Super Bowl holds the record for the highest viewership with 114.44 million views. Needless to say, the event is one of the best places to advertise your work. However, the advertisement does not go easy on the pockets one bit.
According to reports, for someone to opt to advertise their trailer at the Super Bowl LVII, Fox has set a hefty price tag of $7 million for a 30-second slot. Yikes! Fox hosted the event previously in 2020 and at that time, the price tag was set at $5.6 million, which means that since then, the price has seen a 25% hike.
While the price stated is for that of a 30-second ad, companies could very well go a little higher or lower depending on how long they want to advertise their product. The Super Bowl is the best place for advertisers as it has up to a hundred spots for advertisements. The 2020 Super Bowl saw a total of 70 advertisements.
The price tag has only gone up for these ad spots and it is quite interesting to note that back in 1967, the price for a spot was only either $37,500 (NBC) or $42,500 (CBS). We can only imagine where it goes from here!
Super Bowl LVII will air on February 12, Sunday on FOX.
