Starfield, the ambitious and highly anticipated upcoming video game by Bethesda, is less than two weeks away from release, and the developer has a very significant piece of advice for fans who have been eager to play the title. More specifically, an executive from the studio, Pete Hines, personally found it to be his responsibility to advise the players of the game, if they truly want to be successful at playing it. The advice mainly revolves around how players should most definitely not ignore their in-game Activities when they finally do get a chance to try the game out at the beginning of September.
Do NOT Ignore Activities in Starfield, According to Bethesda
Although the official release date for Starfield is September 6, early access will become available for fans five days before, that is September 1. But for both players getting the game on launch or at early access, the wait is nearly over, and a title that felt too good to be true is finally going to become a reality. To put the extensive timeline into perspective, the first time Bethesda announced the game was half a decade ago at the 2018 edition of E3, and not much else was revealed about it back then.
Starfield promises to be a huge space adventure that players will be able to explore at their will, but according to studio executive Pete Hines, they should focus on the in-game Activities just as much as the main quests. Apparently, this is his “one” and only “piece of advice” for any players of the game, which seems to be quite important.
Continuing with his advice for Starfield fans, Hines said that although it may feel like the aforementioned Activities are “throwaway stuff,” players should most definitely pursue them because they can reveal plenty of “amazing places” and “amazing stories.” According to the Bethesda executive, the main quest and faction quests in the game are obviously the core elements that drive the plot, but if one wants to truly immerse themselves and get the optimal experience, they should be on the lookout for discoverable Activities as well.
Starfield Really Gets Started After the Main Quest
Since Starfield is just around the corner, Bethesda executive Pete Hines has been actively sharing a variety of details with the fans. According to him, the game doesn’t really get going until after players have completed the main quest, which sounds like a pro and a con at the same time. However, considering how he claims to have put in a whopping 160 hours into it, this could be true. Of course, Hines may just be saying that to hype up gamers before the game’s official release, but we admit that his recent statements about it are definitely pumping up our excitement levels.
Other important personnel from Bethesda have also recently been quite vocal about Starfield. One of them is director Todd Howard, who told fans that the team is working on a New Game+ mode for the upcoming title as well. Which is really unexpected because Bethesda gamers have never had New Game+ modes, although they have a history of providing players with exploration freedom after the main story ends.
What do you think of Starfield and will you be doing the Activities for your playthrough of the game? As we wait for the title, let us know in the comments if you’ll be playing it on September 6 or if you opted for early access.
